Praises of the Universe

Praises of the Universe

Each day,
As a child,
I would run
To the shrine upon the hill.
I would stand
Looking down,
And fall to my knees
In prayer.
Deep within my Grove
I could feel their eyes
Looking down upon me.
As I sang to them,
I could feel Their breath,
Their kisses, Their touch
Upon my face.
As the Sun rose over the hills,
My body being warmed,
I stood and felt their blessings
And made my way to class.
Each day as I went about
The Holiest Work,
I knew that They were watching,
Keeping me safe,
And pointing me correct.
Only with Their help
May anyone learn,
And only with Their help
Might we sing the praises
Of the Universe.
