13 days before Beltane
I think I fell in love
With a star fallen from the heavens
But I can't tell her
Because she wouldn't understand
If I did.
So here I write to her
As wonderful as love is
Even if she doesn't get it
I could say
She is mine
Because our souls love
And the Moon has blessed us
Each night.
But for her there is another
That blocks my path
With whom I have no quarel
But cannot stand
Because he is who he is.
Why must love destroy me
And lines like this depress me
As I try to sleep
Or try to wake?
