A Silent Black and White World

A Silent Black and White World

In a black and white world
Where only the roses are red
I dream a silent movie dream
Of my love for you.
But even in black and white
Life and love radiate
From your heart
Carressing me with warm fingers
In the darkest night
In winter.
Nothing exists in everything
As the reverse is true
Even thought my heart
Exists ‘neath a bridge
Of silent laughter
Not with me, but at me.
And so here I sit
Praying to those Gods
Who don’t exist
But I believe in anyway
As horses clop upon the
Wooden sky above.
My saltwater tears
Fall into dirty water
Muddied by the passage
Of time
Into Eternity.
A frog seeks refuge
By burrowing
Into the mud
That comes from oblivion.
And into the dream I go
Crying because no sound
Exists in this place
Where no Moon will shine.
