Now that I’ve finished ConVocation this year (and elected to return next year), I’ve put together a brief festival schedule for the coming year:
April 6: Pagan Fire Seminars. This is all about moving from inspiration to performance, and it’ll be an awesome event. I’ll be running tech as this one has a “virtual attendee” component. Columbus, OH (this is our festival, a one day only event). http://threecranes.org/pagan-fire-seminars/ and https://www.facebook.com/events/615745438786166/
April 18-21: Trillium Spring Gathering. Great workshops, good fellowship, and lots of fun. Highly recommended if you can manage it. Camping in Northern Virginia. Great time, though sometimes a tad chilly 🙂 https://trilliumgatheringadf.org/
May 23-27: Wellspring. ADF Annual Meeting, and full of ritual and workshops, plus great bonfires and bardic competitions. Camping, on the other side of Cleveland, Ohio. http://www.stonecreed.org/wellspring
August 15-18: Summerland Gathering. Camping and cabins, near Yellow Springs, Ohio (just outside Dayton). http://6thnight.org/summerland-2019/
Under Consideration: August 22-25: Beyond the Gates. This one is tentative for me, but I had a blast last year, so I’m seriously considering it. Camping, cabins, and Bed & Breakfast rooms. Trout Lake, WA. https://beyondgates.weebly.com/
Tentative: September 5-8 (dates tentative): Midnight Flame Festival. I don’t know for sure if it’s going forward this year, but I hope so. Camping and cabins, near Belaire, MI. http://grovemidnightsun.org/midnight-flame/
Under Consideration:Usually in November: Harvest Nights. Camping or cabins at a Girl Scout Camp, Otis, MA. https://charteroakadf.org/harvest-nights/
If Midnight Flame doesn’t go forward, I might be looking for another event, I’m sure. If you have suggestions, I’m open.
Regarding Pagan Fires: this is the first time that I know of where we’ll have a completely virtual event to go with the in-person festival: we’ll broadcast all workshops and the Bardic Showcase at the end live, and we’ll be sending out materials in advance electronically. I’m very excited to see how this works.
