One of the things that has intrigued me about modern Paganism is how it pulls in technology to help deepen our connection to the past.
eShrines to deities have been popping up lots of places: Tumblr, in particular, has a lot of them. While doing work in an Adobe EdEx class, I had an idea to pull our prayer cards out and try and animate one. Brigid was the obvious choice, since I managed to create a scalable, vectored Brigid’s Cross just last weekend.
This might be the first of many that I do.
I’ve included the eShrine above, a single, looping-until-forever .gif file, to allow you to focus on the center and zone out into trance.
There’s a post specifically for $4 or higher Patrons with the full-sized .gif (11 MB), including information on how I made the eShrine and what the challenges were. If you like this and think it’ll be useful to you, or if you just want to see what else I’m up to, consider becoming a patron. There’s new stuff each month to take a look at.
