This song (along with “Turnabout“) gets me thinking of a certain girl I once met. It’s strange: there’s nothing really about women or love or romance in this song. I think it’s the line “Made this stop for personal reasons” in the first stanza that gets me.
I’ve wanted to hop a plane to Denver to see a friend for a long time. She’s the kind of girl you never forget, the kind who you know you messed up with years ago, and you never stop kicking yourself for it. Gods, it hurts just to write that.
