Foley Sound: Jan’s Good Strike

I had to figure out how to release this without it showing up as a “podcast” episode, but I think this will do it.

At our January Druid Moon, Rivros, Rev. Avende enjoyed the playing of an unusual instrument at the UUCE where we held the rite: it’s a giant railroad spike you hit with a mallet.

Since the ritual was honoring Sucellos, the Good Striker, we made good use of that mallet and spike.

Here’s sound we recorded of the “good strike” she delivered at the end of the night:

Jan’s Good Strike (.mp3, 10 seconds)

I had been kinda hoping to get a “clean” sound of the strike for foley purposes, but Jan had so much fun that we couldn’t help but laugh on the recording.

[Foley sound posts are one of the perks of the $20 level of support; this post will go public after a short preview period as an example of one of the named perks of that level of support.]
