This next month and a half is becoming very full, event-wise. Here are some places you can find me:
August 5, 2018: The Dublin Irish Festival Sunday Druid Service (10 AM Eastern) – Three Cranes Grove, ADF, has been running the Sunday Druid Service for about 8 years now, and it’s one of the craziest things we’ve ever done. The rite draws about 300-350 generally non-Pagan people to it, and last year we started livecasting the event on Facebook, to boot! Starting at about 9:30 AM, our bards will be playing a live set for the crowd as it gathers. More on this to come!
August 16-19, 2018: The Summerland Festival, which is an ADF festival run by The 6th Night Grove, ADF, brings Druidry to a 4-H camp near Yellow Springs, Ohio. I’m not presenting, but I’ll have the shop. Speaking of…
August 19, 2018:The Magical Druid is celebrating its seven year anniversary. We’re doing a small party, so if you’re in the area for Summerland, it’s not far: come visit!
August 30 – Sept. 2, 2018:Okay, this is big. I’ve been invited out to Beyond The Gates in Washington to present two workshops and a ritual.
Sept. 6-9, 2018:Midnight Flame Festival – I’ve been going to this festival for over a decade now, and it’s been great fun.
So, you can see my schedule is a bit full, but one of the nice things that happens with a full schedule is I actually get a lot of work done. The next few weeks are likely to be pretty awesome.
The event at the end of August, Beyond The Gates, has me most fully engaged, though. They asked me to come out as a guest of honor, and they’ve offered me prime slots for presentation, plus the ritual.
The two workshops I’m presenting there are:
“Bridging the Gap: Creating Accessible Resources For Pagans,” and
“An Awfully Big Adventure: Signposts on the Final Journey of Indo-European Souls”
I love these two workshops quite a bit, and they’re getting presented out west in a deeply polished form. I cannot wait to really go into detail on these topics with the crowd out west, and here for folks on Patreon.
The ritual will be on theme with the festival, “Voices of the Past,” and will be a quiet, meditative rite designed to help folk connect with their ancestors. Prep for this rite is likely to be a work in progress for a while, as it always is!
I’ll post more detail about the workshops soon for patrons, with deeper resources available either just before or just after the event (so, if you feel inclined and want to see them, consider becoming a patron; every little bit helps).
