I had to figure out how to release this without it showing up as a “podcast” episode, but I think this will do it.<\/p>\n

At our January Druid Moon, Rivros, Rev. Avende<\/a> enjoyed the playing of an unusual instrument at the UUCE where we held the rite: it’s a giant railroad spike you hit with a mallet.<\/p>\n

Since the ritual was honoring Sucellos, the Good Striker, we made good use of that mallet and spike.<\/p>\n

I had been kinda hoping to get a “clean” sound of the strike for foley purposes, but Jan had so much fun that we couldn’t help but laugh on the recording.<\/p>\n
